Severe Stomatitis/Rhinitits

This case presented last week at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Orlando.  Female 5 year old Maltese.  Severe generalized stomatitis with sublingual and palatal involvement.  The nasal mucosa was extremely hyperemic.   Prolific mucopurulent oral and nasal discharge.  Previous biopsy non-specific inflammation.  Mucocutaneous nasal and oral biopsy's pending.  Derm consult suggests either mucocutaneous pyoderma or autoimmune.  No visible cutaneous lesions. Derm prescribed immunosuppressive doses of pred and Clavamox.   I will post the biopsy findings and our approach to care next week when I receive the results.
